I have silver s7 edge and love the color and the note 7 silver looked great at best buy. I just opted for the blue corral because I need a break from gold and silver phones lolm

Amen & pass the peas! not even sure WHY they call it silver. It should be called "Chrome" because THAT is as shiny as it is even MORE shinier than that even (if that is even possible)......oh wait, maybe because that name is temporarily in use by some "fly by night" browser....lol

but seriously, i, after playing with both at Best Buy today, 100% agree, the black while on the S7 Edge is a "beautiful Piano Black gloss" on the Note 7 for some reason when i picked it up that was my FIRST thought... Feels like plastic... The "chrome" version of Note 7 didn't feel like that AT ALL, but those fingerprints were unbelievable... Can't Sammy make a matte/gloss phone finish?! They can apparently do "everything else!"

I was torn between the black and silver until I saw them in person at BB. I know a lot of people love the black, but I also thought it looked like plastic. I am worried about the fingerprints w/ the silver, but I currently have the gold platinum s6 Edge+, and I have a clear case on it, and it seems fine. I'm constantly wiping fingerprints off the screen, but that's a given no matter what color. ;-)

I'm with other people that thought the silver was too shiny. I took a look at Black and Silver at BB (didn't have Blue out to look at), and I thought the silver was overly shiny, basically like carrying a mirror. I like the understated look of the black, and while it will still show fingerprints and stuff, I think it won't show them quite as badly as silver. Obviously it's up to personal preference, so the best would be if you could look at them in person, but the Silver was so shiny when I was looking at it, I could see it being a problem on a sunny day outside. Even just the little color that is visible on the front on the top and bottom, if the sun was at the correct angle, it could create some pretty nasty reflections. Even looking at it at BB, I caught a few bad reflections off the overhead lights, nothing that would make it unusable or anything, but too shiny for my tastes.

It is mirror shiny. I was able to check every detail of my face in that sucker yesterday!

I guess in the end, it's all about preference. I love my silver s7edge and would not have gone with any other color. To each their own. I never had any problems with the silver in direct sunlight at all.

I have two spigen cases coming tomorrow, UPS.
One is red wallet case and one is clear back with silver sides, I think. Lol.
So will have them to see how they look with each.
My phone now is white. Always have a case on it, so it looks as good as new. So the note 7 also will have a case. So back being mirror shiny won't matter, maybe.

The silver isn't mirror shiny and I've used my S7Edge silver outside, in the sun, taking pictures, and never had an issue with it reflecting in my eyes. It's shiny, yes, but not in the way that you think.

It's not the same 'color' as the s7.

Just put a screen protector and a clear case. Will stop the finger prints show off the color and protect it from drops. May even cut back on the glare just a bit even. But everyone is different and will have their opinions on which has color is the "best". I personally though the silver/chrome was the best black was blah and the blue was too light pastel looking but to each their own..... just a few days left !

For anyone that has seen the silver in person, is it real shiny as it looks on youtube?
I sorta want silver and will have case on, but worried about front that is silver and if when in the sun, if it is gonna be to shiny and bright

The silver looks good when you are in natural light. It seems to only look silver when the lighting is right.
