Note 7 Tempered Glass Screen Protector

I did because I just didn't want to take the chance of getting scratches on my screen. I know that this screen protector has it's flaw. I can confirm that there is only glue on the top and bottom, which allows for particle to get under the screen protector. I found that you can get those out for the most part by using a air duster. One other thing I found is moisture can get under the screen protector. I had my phone sitting on the counter in my bathroom as I was taking a shower, and on my drive to work, i noticed that there was water under the protector. This is no big deal as the phone is water resistant anyway. The moisture has since evaporated, so all is good. This screen protector look good, was super easy to place on the phone, and fits with my Spigen case. I place the screen protector on my phone with the case still on. For now, this will have to do until a better option is available. I'll keep checking back, and looking for one.

Why are manufacturers not placing adhesive on the entire screen like I have had on my previous tempered glass screen protectors? This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. The glass is curved, so it shouldn't have a problem with lifting on the edges.

I just decided to take a chance and purchased this. The IQ Shield tempered glass is supposed to have adhesive on the whole screen, not just the edges. I will update after installing.

Adhesive only on the top, bottom and thin sides. None on the actual display area. Answer from IQ themselves.

This black one is supposed to have full adhesive. The clear one is supposed to be only the edges. Even the verified Amazon reviewer said full adhesive. A month ago IQ Shield stated full adhesive.

I just sent IQ Shield an email via Amazon asking for clarification. I bought them because it was stated full adhesive. And the 1 review from the verified Amazon buyer said full adhesive so we will see.

That buyer is full of it and has no idea what he is talking about.
Look at the latest response from IQ, adhesive only on the edges.

Anyone try this zagg tempered yet. Is it legit? I am kinda leary because zagg isn't even selling it on their site yet. 2 different sellers I found on ebay (in Australia) with the zagg tempered

After some research, I see a place called Casemate( in Australia as well maybe same place as eBay link) is selling the tempered Zagg also. $50 is kinda steep though for it to not stick to edges or not work well with cases. Anyone willing to be the first to test at 50$ LOL


I see them for sale online many places in Australia with a "zagg note 7 glass contour" google search. I just posted on Zagg FB site to see if they are even Authentic!

You are correct. IQ Shield contacted me and apologized for the confusion and stated adhesive on the edges only. I mean, come on. You would think these companies would know how to put adhesive on the whole glass like flat tempered glass. I am very unhappy and will probably request a refund tomorrow after I receive them.

Been in contact with IQ Shield. Both protectors are going back for a full refund. Neither glass had any adhesive on them at all. The protective stickers were removed, glass was lined up, and .....nothing. No adhesive. They have a manufacturing problem. I suggested they be pulled off the market and re-made with full adhesive. So disappointing.

Given the cutout selection, it looks identical to the generic ones that we've seen already that aren't that good.

I just don't understand why they aren't putting adhesive on the whole glass. If the glass is shaped correctly and the cut outs all match the cameras and sensors, then many of these should work. This is getting really stupid that these companies keep releasing crap tempered glass for the Note7.

The easy way to tell that a tempered glass screen protector is junk is that they are colored on the top and bottom. They do this to hide the junk glue under the colored sections. The just adhesive is probably why they aren't putting adhesive on the entire screen.

But even the clear ones are only having adhesive on the edges. You would think it is the same process as the flat tempered glass except with curved edges. Make glass, add adhesive to the whole screen, slap on film cover with pull tab, make available to buy.

There are SPs out there that are all clear with adhesive around the entire edges of the SP, and you can see the junk adhesive. The SP I had on my S6 was great and I couldn't see adhesive.

Ugh. After having trouble with a film type protector, I have been looking for glass. It doesn't appear that there's any definitive good product for the Note 7. I honestly hate the curved edges on this phone. It makes protecting the screen very difficult. I have 2 different cases that hvae caused the film protectors to bubble up. It seems like there's not going to be a good answer due to the curved edge. Does anyone have a screen protector and case combo that works?

Hey all - just giving my own update here.

I got one of SUPTMAX's Tempered Glass Screen Protectors for the FLAT portion of the screen from Amazon, and I couldn't be happier with it. There isn't any haloing whatsoever, and absolutely zero bubbles.

This was achieved by using an alcohol spray (literally rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle) and spraying the adhesive side of the glass as well as the phone's screen after the latter was cleaned with the cloth that comes with it. Placing the glass down on the glass will reveal LOTS of water bubbles underneath - but that's alright. Simply align the protector EXACTLY center on the phone, or as close as possible (the screen protector will SLIDE AROUND on the screen since the alcohol stops the adhesive from working), and begin applying pressure to the center of the screen. Use credit cards or finger nails to begin easing the liquid out from underneath the protector, wiping up the alcohol as it pops out from the sides of the protector. Do this with lots of dedication and focus, and you'll get an amazing result. I say again, this will prevent haloing of ANY kind. Make sure to continue pushing out the liquid bubbles as they appear - they will appeal again, so just use LOTS of pressure to get them out from underneath. After 24 hours, it should be perfect.

The benefit of this brand's glass is that the taper at the sides of the class is so exquisitely manufactured that you can run your finger along the edge of the protector and the curve, and your touch response will not be affected. It is ridiculously comfortable to use and the protector doesn't bother my fingers whatsoever on the edges.

To be clear, my edges are not covered, but my case PLUS the tempered glass allows the phone to be protected on 95% of the body, which is what matters to me.

Please forgive the quality of the photos - I had to take them with my Surface Book since it's the only other camera I have in the house.
