Heck freaking no. I am ;however, thinking of returning this beauty, and going back to MXPESo is everyone returning their Note 7 and getting an iPhone instead? lol
So I'll chime in here. #1 you're very condescending and your assumptions that the lag everyone is experiencing is just launch day hating is ridiculous. I own a large cell phone company. I sell probably 500-600 phones a week. I've personally used every single flagship phone from every major carrier of the last 5 years. In general Samsung phones lag.
If you have not used an iPhone as your primary phone since the release of the 5s you wouldn't understand the lag issue. What Samsung users take as normal iPhone users take as lag. I am not an Apple fanboy, in fact I can't stand Apple's locked down ecosystem and BORING OS. I use two phones throughout the day and I was on Android for years but after the release of the iPhone 6 I dropped my HTC One M8 for the iPhone. I went with two iPhones primarily for the last two years. I am a huge fan of Android and customization but even though I have tried with the LG G4, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Note 5 as my primary phones the Android lag was too much for me to handle. NOTHING lags on an iPhone. My employees have the Nexus 6, Nexus 6p, and HTC M9. On several occasions we have done speed tests opening apps and processes and the iPhone wins EVERY TIME.
Back to the Note 7. As I said I love Android and I have been waiting for a phone to FINALLY match the iPhone in terms of speed and reliability. I played with the Note 7 at Best Buy and it is by far the most ergonomically sound and sexy phone I have ever seen. I thought the Edge screen was a gimmick, but it works. Really well. The S-Pen is fantastic and the camera is flat-out amazing. So I ordered my Note 7 in sexy Coral Blue and on launch day I picked it up. Hearthstone, my favorite mobile game, lags so poorly it just about kills the whole experience. The phone goes through periods where it runs really fast, but try and switch back and forth between apps quickly and you start to see the skipped frames and lag. I bought my wife a Note 7 to replace her iPhone 6 Plus. Within 24 hours she told me to return it. She absolutely could not deal with the lag. When you are used to an iPhone on a daily basis you develop a very short attention span waiting for apps to open and pages to load.
So in the last 12 months I have attempted a Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5, and Galaxy Note 7. All of them lag. Every single one. Samsung phones have lag point blank. It might not be severe, you might not even notice it if you are used to Samsung, but they do. I'm not an expert on everything, but I am an expert on phones. Maybe you have a miraculous Samsung that is smooth as butter, but I haven't seen one yet.
I will insert one caveat. Every Samsung I have used as my daily driver has been a Verizon variant. Maybe it is the Verizon bloat that does the most damage.
Also the "Samsung Lag" is documented very clearly here... The Note 7 Still Delivers Embarrassing Real-World Performance
I'm going to keep the phone. Too slow to use as my personal cell but I will use it as my business/Media phone. Plenty of things to like about the phone for sure. But it lags. And that sucks.
ONE LAST THING! The first person that can show me a completely lag-free video of a Galaxy Note 7 playing Hearthstone (something that an iPhone 5s can do easily) I will send you $100 to your PayPal account. Guaranteed.
I've watch a bunch of Galaxy reviews and haven't seen any lag. Only Flossy Carter's review mentions lag and he said that it is just occasional and definitely not "unbearable".Opening the box and having the phone lag is hardly a user problem. I also spent a full day disabling stuff and restarting the phone. Watch reviews of the phone there all lagging. Like I said the phone isn't to bad screen, camera, spen. If your use to a laggy phone from the note or Samsung brand of phones it won't bother you. The gif maker was a major let Down though ;(
I just did that and will see if that makes a differenceOK so I disabled S Health, S Voice and Samsung + and it is significantly smoother now. Try it!
I haven't really encountered anything out of the normal myself. There's bound to be instances where it stutters, but every phone does that. Scrolling is quick, app launching is quick, the camera fires up extremely quick, and typing hasn't been a problem whatsoever (granted I'm using Google's keyboard).
But this happens every year. Wouldn't be a Galaxy launch if it didn't.

I thought I'd share my thoughts on this.
First, let me start by saying that no. My Note7 is not invincible to lag. ALL phones lag at some point. Even my iPad Pro lags at times.
However, I will say that so far, my Note7 has been performing quite well. Is it as fast as a Nexus or an iPhone? Of course not, but I do appreciate the extra features that my Note provides, such as the S Pen features, resizable windows and more, which I feel are worth trading a couple of milliseconds of app launch times for.
That said, it's not perfect. SwiftKey lags horribly. It takes about a second or two for some keys to register at times when you type fast. Weirdly, the stock keyboard is perfectly fine, and I did notice that SwiftKey did lag a bit on my old HTC One M7 running a GPe ROM, so I'm not blaming TW......yet.
So far, though, my current Samsung experience has been a refreshing one since ditching them back in 2013 for the HTC One M7 due to the horrendous state of TouchWiz at the time. I haven't experienced serious frame stutters nor did I feel that I was missing a beat after switching back and forth from my iPad Pro to my Note7.
In the end, it comes down to this. Do you prioritize speed and don't care about the extras? Go Nexus or iPhone. If you want features and more capabilities at the cost of a bit of snappiness, go with a Samsung or any other skinned Android device. In an ideal world, there would be a phone that's as fast as a Nexus or an iPhone while also filled to the absolute brim with features like a Samsung, but that hasn't cropped up yet, and likely won't for a while.
For the record, my unit is an SM-N930F variant, running on an Exynos 8890 with 4GB of RAM, running a different-ish build of the software on the August 1st security patch.
It is at .5. I changed it when I was experiencing the lag and changing the app animation didn't help.
So far changing the scaling from small to large, I see a difference.
I use s health too... Bloat is relative to the user... It is only bloat for you if you don't use itYeah a couple of people used it on the Note 5. I never used it and I just disabled some of the bloat, it went.
I use SVoice and Samsung Plus a lot.
I would love to see these videos too(removed by Moderator) I'd like to see videos of this supposed "lag".
I've yet to see a lag on my Note 7. The last phone that I had that had an issue with lag was my Note 4 and that was when we received the software update. My last phone was the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and that NEVER lagged. I don't know what is it that some people are doing on their phones that say that their phone lags. I also want to see videos of this supposed lag that some people are talking about but of course if you're intentionally trying to make it lag. It's funny how some of you complain about it every damn year and every damn year you buy a Samsung phone.
