Note 7 Tribute - Share Your Favorite Things about the Note 7

Re: The Note 7 was too good

I have no intention of turning mine in.
Your not worried about not getting updates for it! I thought about keeping mine but quickly decided not to for that reason.

Back to my Note 4. Just now ironically ordered a battery for it. Bet Samsung wishes the Note 7 could do that. Based on analysts, it is over ten billion dollar bet. That is the expected pure loss and not stock.

Will test the V20 out if priced at $650. If not, Note 4 FTW. Was going to get another MXPE, but the nav bar drove me nuts. V20 has better modes integrated to hide the nav bar wasting display space. Moto is awful in that regard. Force Z is prime example too.

Re: The Note 7 was too good

I sadly can see the "Note 8" not being what most fans might expect. We are stuck in stasis now in regards to the Note 7 goodness.

Would not be surprised if Samsung doubled down with a sealed battery again, no sd slot, no headphone jack and more curve.

Sales would take a big hit due to current perception and also losing more features most Note fans like to have.

I would not buy a Note 8 like that.

Re: The Note 7 was too good

My 2 cents is that Samsung just pushed the envelope too hard on this phone. The engineers designed a great device with everything plus the kitchen sink. But they ran out of engineering, testing and debugging time. As we say in engineering, you can control features, cost, or schedule. Pick two.

Re: Mourning thread ,N7 , what was your fondest memory ?

remembering something while on my walk today, pulling out the s pen and writing a note on the aod.

Re: The Note 7 was too good

Ugh...this was such the perfect phone with every feature you would want. Here's hoping the S8 will carry on the most beautiful design aesthetic ever with the Note 7 with the symmetrical front/rear and everything else...just without the s-pen.

Re: The Note 7 was too good

I'm sick that I traded in my Note 4 for the Note 7. I have a S 7 Edge now, and truthfully, it's a very good phone, but it's not a Note. I'm hoping the Note 8, or whatever they choose to call it, is as great as the Note 7 was .... with a removable battery maybe. I doubt that Samsung will go back to that, but one can hope.

Re: The Note 7 was too good

I'm reluctantly moving to the LG V20 in a couple weeks when it releases. I will be sad to see my 7 go. Really bothers me as millions of others I'm sure. No other phone compares. The Google pixel looks too much like a Iphone on the front and would just make me mad looking at it every day. Wishing now I would have kept my Note 5 a little longer if i knew this was going to happen.

I got close to going for the V20 but I need the wireless charging and an AMOLED display. S7 edge for me. 😐

But if thats the case it's very concerning that they choose trying to beat the iPhone over quality and debugging. Safety clearly wasn't their top priority at the time.

Note 7 Tribute

This is what a friend of mine sent me after Samsung discontinued the Note 7:

Funny as hell but fitting, long live the self combusting Note 7, the best and worse phone of 2016

Re: The Note 7 was too good

Guess I'm gonna return my Note 7 to best Buy.
I have a old Samsung 64gb S6 I will use.
I will NOT get another new phone.
A Iphone if out of the question.
I will sit and wait, very impatiently on seeing what Samsung does next.
If I have to wait till next Oct for another note.
I think will go crazy.
Waited since march of this year for it to come out.

Re: Note 7 Tribute

I got the cash, And I'm not spending it on anything else.
Using a old phone. And waiting on seeing what Samsung will do.
Can't believe they will wait till next Oct to do something.
I will be ready.

Re: Mourning thread ,N7 , what was your fondest memory ?

The joy of having other miscellaneous apps in the Secure folder....will surely miss that feature....I also kept the apk for the Samsung web browser on the note 7( love that browser).....

Wifi calling, Video talk instead of things like Skype
The way the appications inside the software was wrote and setup.
The way you could pull the top of the screen down and do so much more.
The way the setting was setup so it showed you under applications what was under the header, making it easier to do things on your phone.
The list goes on and on.
My 1st note. And I really like it.
Gonna be tough to give it back.

Omg I love those movies and that song. They did a good job with how they took Paul walker off. So sad but he died doing what he loved basically. *wipes a tear* ok back to the topic lol. Lmao yes I shall sing this song every time I think of my note7.

Re: Mourning thread ,N7 , what was your fondest memory ?

If I turn this in it maybe next week. I'm giving it another week and see what happens. I have no other choice but to get another one unless I use my old S3 which I'm sure its so out dated. Slower than frozen molasses. I really wanted this phone to work out. I'll probably go back to the S7E again... for the 3rd time. (3rd time is a charm I guess).
