Note 7 vs Google Pixels - Staying with N7!

After seeing the Pixel presentation yesterday, I picked up a Note 7 today.

Not being available through T-Mobile was a huge factor but I'll probably be happier in the long run.

Note 7 is a great phone, hope you're right and you love it.

You either have a bad device or something wrong with app or installation. Oculus as example is causing problems (if that is on yours), but an update fixes it. Web view also has causes some problems.

Battery life for me and my medium to heavy use is 4.5 SOT in QHD and over 5.5 SOT in FHD. I leave mine in FHD since see no difference (still looks great) and runs apps cooler including Maps. I only change to QHD for Gear VR.

The only problem with FHD for me is that the AOD is disabled. I use that for night time use next to my bed to check during the night. Wish there was a way to use both FHD and AOD at the same time.

Same.

There will be people who will definitely prefer the Pixel XL over the Note 7, and that is totally fine. Choice exists for a reason and we should be grateful that we can even pick from a wide range of devices.

Personally, while the cleaner UI and faster rate of OS updates on the Pixel appeal to me, they don't quite unseat the ginormous featureset of the Note, and given that Samsung has updated Good Lock with the one thing I've always wanted, I'm getting a small mix of both. That said, the recent happenings involving the device have me slightly concerned, though I'll see how this pans out.

Oh yeah, it's also great for those times when you're bored.

Your Note 7 do not have the screen resolution setting? Dun have to use battery saving mode to trigger FHD if you have it.
