Note 8.0 - How do you lower the keyboard?

I'm coming from iPad and don't have a clue what I'm doing. How in the world do you lower the keyboard when it pops and you don't need it?

Hit the Back button on the bottom Right of the device next to the Home Hard button.

As far as I know on the GN 8 yes. On my GN 10.1 there is an arrow on the lower left of the keyboard that does it for you, but don't see that option on the GN 8. Now, If you're talking about keeping it from popping up if you have a BT Keyboard connected to it, you can use an app called Null Keyboard in the Play Store. I use that for when I connect to my BT Keyboard and keeps it from popping up when using it.
