I made the same thread in the Note 8.o thread, I'm just posting it here in case any Tab 2 10.1 owners care to weigh in or make an argument in favor of the Tab 2 10.1.

Original Post:
Chances are I'm going to be upgrading from my Kindle Fire HD 8.9" Tablet to an actual Android Tablet. My choices are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" or the Samsung Galaxy Note 8". Right now I'm kinda leaning towards the Tab 2, due to it's larger screen size, but something about the Note is just appealing. I already have a "Phablet", an LG Optimus G Pro that has a 5.5" 1080p display. So I'm not sure if I should just go for the Tablet with the bigger screen or get the one that's more portable and has more processing power. Anyone have any thoughts?

Can anyone tell me anything that really sets them apart, other than screen size? One of the main reasons I'm wanting an actual tablet instead of a Kindle, is because several games coming out this year allow players to use Tablets, such as Battlefield 4 and Tom Clancy's: The Division. I'd also like to have it to just take around to places and stream movies and check my email when on the go and possibly read books on, when I want something larger than my phone or its battery is almost dead. I also want something that can hand

Thanks in advance for the help.

Just wanting to get "the other side of the story" is all.

Please let me know what your thoughts are, as Tab 2 10.1 owners. Thank you.

I own both the AT&T Note II and the Tab 2 10.1 very happy with my Note and the tablet has been good so far, it was just updated to Jelly Bean and I use it for email, ebooks, pdf tech manuals, browsing, navigation, netflix, basic games, radio stream, etc. Handles all that very well but don't know about more demanding apps as it isn't exactly top of the line hardware. I feel the hardware should've been better. Oh, and the Tab 3 I feel is overpriced for it's 2011 hardware on a 2013 tablet.
Has some hiccups here and there and depending on usage I can go 1-3 days between charges. I think I can get about maybe 8hrs of netflix in one charge.
I've done about 4 hrs and had about 55% left.
At home I use my tab and at work my phone and if possible my tablet.
