Note 8 light on the edges

Hello!

Just got my Note 8 a cpuple days ago, and noticed something weird pretty fast. I can see light shine through on the sides, where the glass meets the side bezels.

It's not so bad on the right side, but on the left side it's quite bad. I can see it even with the brightness down at 10%, but when turned up, I can see it all the time when web browsing or watching videos.

Anyone else experiencing this?

No I haven't noticed. I even set mine to full brightness in a dark room. You're not the first to notice though. Another person in the forum said he is having severe light leak as well.

Nope, full brightness in a dark room and no light leaking on mine.

My gold note 8 was perfect no light leak at all.but got screen burn In after 2 months.so had to get it fixed the replaced screen had massive light leak.they said we can't do anything live with it.so I sold it .They damaged the phone aswell in the service centre. Avoid service centre like the plague

There is another thread on this on the forum. There is also a thread on XDA about it. I believe its bc they didn't put enough black tape along the edges and you get some inconsistent light bleeding that varies from each phone it seems. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Samsung is supposedly aware of it.

No light leak here. Go exchange it for another phone.
