Note 8 Oreo Update

Re: AT&T Oreo Update just came in

How is the stability? Is it faster? Anyone noticed the phone being smoother after the update? Patiently waiting for mine on Verizon.

Just installed. Will be able to tell what battery looks like tomorrow under usual usage. Phone seems super smooth but wasn't too bad to begin with so may just be me thinking it's smoother. Will see.

Are there any changes in the camera interface? I didn't like the way modes are changed(like iPhone) in S9

No changes that I've noticed. All the modes and everything are still there.

I never had any stability issues so the update seems the same to me performance wise. Still smooth.

Re: AT&T Oreo Update just came in

I'm re-charging now after doing the update and then updating like 45 apps and playing around for about an hour and a half. The only comments I'll make right now are 1.) That was THE smoothest Android OS update I've been through (and I started with Ice Cream Sandwich - yikes!) and 2.) EVERYTHING I had before was still there this time - desktop, correct number of desktop pages, apps on desktop, icon pac, apps, widgets, settings! Totally amazed!!! Will test more once the battery comes back up...

I haven't noticed any difference in performance yet.

OCD over here. Although my icons are set to just icons not with frame. Some of them still have the frames around them :/ any other way around to fix it. This happened after update hope it fixable I really don't like the look of the frames.

It was a very smooth upgrade indeed. However, it IS 2018, shouldn't we expect as much? JK, I am grateful and I'm happy my phone didn't get borked. I wiped the system cache afterwards, 'cause, why not?

It's supported on Oreo, but only if the OEM'S want to use it. From everything I have read, only Google phones and a few Chinese manufacturers are currently using project Treble Samsung, LG, Motorola, etc. are not.

Perhaps you could post an annotated screenshot of what you mean?

Seems to be just the Google icons.. I've read in other posts people have the same result after Oreo update.
