I found that it is no longer possible to zoom the photo during editing (stock Samsung Photo Editor), anyone having the same problem?
If i zoom then only click the "draw" or any other editing function, the photo will switch back to original size, the earlier zoom effect is lost and no way to zoom in for any editing.

What editor do you use. I use the stock Photo Editor Pro. If I pinch zoom in edit it doesn't count that as editing so nothing can be saved. But ifbI use the square to crop and zoom it works.

with the stock photo editing the box on the far left is the one to zoom and add effects or draw. works just fine for me not sure if you are trying that. its called transform when you hover the Spen over it.

Thanks for the reply, but what i need is to temporary zoom in for easy edit/draw, and zoom out when done and save. I don't want a permanent zoom.

My already sold S7 edge can do this, but not note 8, not sure why. Stock Samsung photo editor that I am referring to.

*** Just tried with Samsung Tab S3, can zoom in to edit too. Think this is a bug for Note 8.

My history with Samsung tells me this isn't a bug, but one of the many software changes they make that actually removed a feature.

The zoom in for edit feature is crucial and should not be removed for any photo editing software... Even with spen it is difficult to draw on very small spot without zooming.

Wow, I spent an hour trying to figure out what I am doing wrong, I couldn't even imagine this feature is missing from the Note 8.
Writing on the pictures with the stylus was the main selling point for me because of my work.
Will they fix this? There are workarounds , using third party editors, but the built in tool accessible right from opening the picture from the gallery would be the fastest, simplest way to do it.

Advanced photo editor (upper right dots) and decoration. ;) I never use the basic editor at all anymore.

Hmm yes, found out that the Photo Editor Pro can zoom in to edit, but how to open it as default editor, everytime need to switch is annoying. This move is silly for Samsung.

Why is it a BIG DEAL to click on the lower left, or upper right? The default editor is supposed to be for quick and dirty no frills editing. The pro editor is for more advanced editing. You don't have to switch anything at all... You just have to open the right one, so IMHO that's operator error, not Sammy's fault.
