Note 8 S-Pen on Note 9?

Title. I've heard it works but I need a solid confirmation. My 9's pen broke because it fell out as I dropped it. I need to replace it, and like how the blue Note 8 pen is all blue and has no yellow. I want that as my replacement, will it work as a full replacement?

It might be able write on the screen with it but won't be able to use the Note 9 Bluetooth function. We can get some other members input also.

the 8 s-pen will work on the note 10 so I will assume it will work on the note 9 - just tried it. everything I tried worked. but as a full replacement, nope. there will be things that will not work and I certain would not try storing it in the s-pen slot. depending on how you use the pen, it might be better just to get a replacement.

All the S pens from the original Note to the Note 10, including all Note tablets, Tab A/S with S Pen, chromebook, and laptop S Pens use the same tech and work on each other.

That doesn't answer all my questions, hence this thread. There are a lot of "I think"s and missing facts. Either way I see it doesn't charge so I want a blue Note 9 pen now.a
