Note 8 to iPhone X?

I would absolutely hate doing that lol. It takes me minimum 3-5hrs to get my phone setup just right! Once a yr at most is enough for me! Lol
Agreed. It's exciting to get a new phone so I don't mind much but hard resetting after every update is for the birds. Too much work for me. I have no doubt Android phones need a reset once a year and PC could use one as well but too much of a pita for me. I'd rather buy new ones!

I reset my Android about once a quarter. Yes, it is a pain in the @$$ but I like that fresh, new car smell!!

If they pumped out that new phone smell I would do it! New phones have a distinctive smell different but as exciting as a new car. New phones smell like new laptops.

This is probably a foolish question to ask on this forum, but are any Note 8 users taking the plunge on an iPhone X? I have two lines and I think I may bite the bullet and pre-order one tonight.

You gotta be kidding.

I got an iPhone 8 plus last night, coming from SE, its a huge upgrade. With my S8, its a solid combo for daily use.

I have a note 8 wife has an iPhone X honestly it's a great phone. The size is good especially for one handed use. The camera is awesome. The iphone X is everything I wanted in an iPhone except I don't like ios that much just way to limiting and boring for me. Some apps may be better on ios. I was hoping that Apple would take the chance to update the launchpad with the x. They didn't and now I am back in Android with a note 8 loving life. It really depends on what you want in your phone. If you could live with slower updates but in return you get so many more options go with a note other than that both are awesome choices and you can't go wrong with either.

iPhone X is better to pocket carry. In every other way I prefer Note 8. Would love to own both. Won't spend retail for either.

As a fan of both platforms I have the iPhone 10 256gb an love it. Had the note 8 for a week it’s a better phone overall no debate there. I just didn’t like the fingerprint scanner on the back was to tall for my liking an I have slightly larger than normal hands an not comfortable in my pocket for daily use. Returned for the 10 I got what I call my dream iPhone with a Samsung display an other features android has had for several years. Is it a great phone nah I don’t think so but a darn good phone but the price Samsung is a better choice. I happen to enjoy the Face ID I have no issues with it but looking forward to the note 9. An the note 7 was my favorite phone of all time next to the 4.

I got an iPhone 8 (same old design as 4 yrs ago, relic), while waiting for X and for Note 8. Thought it'd be nice as just a music player / phone to fit in my pocket. But iOS just killed it.

The X is about same size as Galaxy S8 yet weighs as much as my S8+. (The Essential is also heavy for its size).

I figure my Note 8 today is... iPhone X Plus. Twice the memory Apple uses.

And yes I'll be in line for Note 9 next year at this time!

The iPhone X and note 8 are both incredible devices, base your decision on ecosystem - both have outstanding hardware and run smoothly.

Ecosystem. It boils down to that. I have kids under 5 but smart enough to slide that answer button on their iPad for Facetime. Other comparable android apps won’t be that simple for their age.

You are letting a 4 year old do FaceTime by themselves?

My 2 year old granddaughter can navigate an Amazon Fire tablet by herself, Android can be just as easy to use.

And why can't Samsung support the note 8 as long as iPhone X... 2 years verse 4 years plus... That's one reason iphones keep there values

I have both devices and each has its pluses and minuses with the note being the more powerful device. The size of the x is better though.

Your 4 year old iPhone struggles and can’t be used with current iOS. The 6S Plus should but stressing. Most all the shipped models had battery issues. I had two.

Apple is slow at including 4GB except their Pro iPad.

In two years Google will have us on 64-bit and have to to support more than 4GB memory, changes from Project Treble.

I did. So I regret it? Sometimes. I like iMessage with my family and friends. And it’s just easier to send pictures and videos with it. But I do miss my note 8. I am looking to replace my work phone s7 edge with either note 8 or s9 plus. So that’ll help.

Sorry but this is not true. We had iPhone 5se running the latest o/s. And it ran fine without any issues. Apple doesn’t need memory as long as their o/s is well optimized and they have proven that.
