Note 8 to iPhone X?

Hey there, was wondering what forum you were posting on now a days... did you go from g6 to s8+? I would have thought you might go v30... I think that has been getting good reviews as a solid phone.

No iPhone X for me. I actually prefer the look and feel of the 8 plus.

I can't believe reading that someone has moved from N8 to X! From 6.3 to 5.8? Where the PPl is lesser? With no touch ID? With an OLED that is lesser colourful than N8? I can go on and on.

I guess, it's their personal preference anyway.

I love using gestures on the phone. Used to own the Nokia N9 (meego os).

But iOS drawbacks aren't really taken off by those gestures and that keeps me away from the iPhone.

The Note 8 features has me sticking to it and it's the first Samsung phone that I really liked and doesn't stutter and spatter all over, including the S8 that I had for 4 months.

Having had several iPhones from 3G to 6S+, I bought the Note 8 after the latest Apple keynote. The reason was I didn't care for the X at all. So no, I wouldn't now sell the Note 8, which I love, to buy the X.

Gestures are pretty much easy to apply. Just put a launcher on it.

Note 8 lover here and I have one on pre order. :p
Still using my Note 8 but can never have enough new toys.

Plus the iPhone X case selection is out of this world.

Mine will be here Friday and I'm gonna be daring and go case free. I haven't dropped my phone in years. I hope I don't regret that decision. 😂

Even Apple's newest and best phone ever does not match the specs of the Samsung Note 8 or S8+.
Apple iPhone X Display resolution: 1125 x 2436 and 458 pixels per inch
Samsung Note 8 Display resolution: 1440 x 2960 and 521 pixels per inch
Samsung S8+ Display resolution: 1440 x 2960 and 529 pixels per inch

The specs say it all, not to mention Apples same as it ever was locked down operating system. Sorry but that just does not equate to over $1000 in my book. Never been a fan of Apple as a company anyway and to me they have lost their innovative edge, android is way ahead on features. Then there is the old argument that Apple is much more secure, well we've all discovered that that was all smoke and mirrors. Just like calling their displays
"Retina" displays, like that makes them better. Nice try and then you add a tiny touch screen feature to your Mac Book which for the most part is useless. Get with the program Apple, Microsoft Surface and so many others have left you in the dust. I just find it hard to believe that you still have fans that wait in lines for hours to get your locked down devices. I don't wait in lines for a new phone, my S8+ is a fantastic phone and I didn't pay over $1000 for it. Plus I can actually add storage to my device. Oh well, probably rambling on here and most will fall on deaf ears as most will just say OMG, it's the new Apple phone, it has to be good............Right.

The Apple argument has never been about specs and numbers. It's always been about aesthetics and ease of use. Most people aren't techies. They want a neat device that does cool stuff and just works. That has always been the argument with Apple computers. It translates to the phones, as well. It's not about high end specs. It's about high end experience. For better or worse, Apple owns it.

Sorry, but Apple does not own a better experience, but maybe they can try and patent that too. Lol. My wife won an iPad mini, which neither of us ever use, because it's not a pleasant experience to use. We both find it frustratingly limited and locked down to the point of being useless. It does make for a good dust collector though.

Honestly, I was never won over by the iPhone X.

It has A LOT of great stuff (and I do mean it) and I am very eager to try one out. But I won't be using it as a daily. In fact, the 8 Plus has a higher chance of being my daily despite the 3 year old design.

The reason is simple; This is the biggest redesign in years for the iPhone. Whenever Apple rolls out a drastic redesign, there will be issues with them that its successor will address. I'd rather wait until these things are sorted before going in.

As for the Note8, I own one, so you already know the answer.

upgraded from Note4..no comparison on tech features..iPhoneX is for spoilt brats splurging parents money or people with poor business sense...Note8 is for students and business people who value their time and money. PERIOD

So I've checked out a few early reviews and it looks like the iPhone X face Id has the same issues in the sun as the note 8 iris scanner. So much for unlocking options.

Love my Note 8! I can't customize an Iphone like I can't with the Note 8. the S Pen is the best and the dual camera is unmatched! I will always love Sammy! The live gif writing is amazing! I will never give up my Note 8!

well on the Note you can always use PIN or fingerprint for the very odd time the Iris or Face recognition doesn't work.
Bit embarrassing for Apple that their face recognition failed to work on launch night on stage LOL

I agree to this. Actually I just ditched my Apple products yesterday, and today I started using Android phone and Microsoft computer. I found Android platform more customizable, expandable; and some people don't care about those platform qualities. My mother prefers Apple products than others because in apple she said she can learn to use the device faster, the phone looks premium and good build quality.

But now im lovin' my Samsung Note 8. Dang, this is the device that I needed! I am a person who likes to scribble and write anything what comes to mind.
