Note 8 trade in offer status for Samsung.com orders

What did you put in the box with your trade in?

Dropped my note 5 off in a very well packed box to fed ex yesterday. I followed all instructions for preparing the phone. I packed it in the original note 5 box all by itself then wrapped it in bubble wrap then back into the box my note 8 came in. I was so sure to pack it safely in the box that I didnt put anything else in it.

I reread the instructions for shipping out the trade in and it doesnt say to put anythi g in the box with the phone. Do they figure out who sent the phone by the tracking number, or did I just send out a phone for nothing? Really kicking myself in the *** now for not at least putting a copy of my receipt for the note 8 in the box.

I'm dropping mine off in few minutes. I made 2 copies of the packageing label. One attached to the box and on inside the box with the phone. The print label had that return slip. That bar code at the bottom, that's how your phone is tracked. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for that clarification. Ive been yelling at myself all morning, in my head, so the wife doesn't hear. Haha.

I'm with Sprint and they sent me a return kit which included a box, UPS tracking label, and bubble wrap to send the phone back in. And i also sent in the original cellphone charger and cord.

I got mine from Samsung. Unlocked version. I sent mine back in the original Note 5 box. Then I packed that box in the box my note 8 and charger and sd card came in. Samsung doesn't send you anything to return the old device in.

Verizon sent a box, a UPS prepaid label and a padded envelope for my ex-Pixel and said just send the phone, nothing else.

I did the same thing. I printed an extra shipping label and put it in the box as well. Never know if the box gets lost at the company doing the trade in processing.

As for packing, I put my S7 Edge in its original box along with the charger. I then put bubble wrap around the box, and I used that bubble cushion that came with the Note 8 package and used the shipping box the Note 8 came in.

Selected iPhone 5 as trade in device because that was the cheapest available to buy, was not going to give them my iPhone 7 plus or other latest Android phones .

Anyone get any movement on their returned phones? My return deadline is this Friday and I have a feeling Samsung is going to play coy on the trade in. I sent in a IP5 that met all the criteria. One the 15 day window is up, I'm at Samsung's mercy. I can't believe they will suffer the PR crisis of jamming people but what do I know. Samsung customer service is the worst in the business.

I know many of you simply signed into your Samsung order page and there was a print out option to send the trade in but I received the note 8 today and have no trade in instructions in the delivered note 8 box or on my online account/order. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions?

The reference number is also on the shipping label, when I sent I didn't write it on all sides of the box. Hopefully that doesn't create problem associating the return with my order.

Traded my S7 edge for my S8 with Samsung. Just used their shipping label printed from my order. No problem at all.
