Note 8 Update?

So I got Verizon's update and just installed it but my Android Security Patch Level is still dated August 1, 2017. Wasn't this update I just downloaded partially a security update as well? Should I have gotten the September security update yet?

I would like to know as well as I got same update.

I just went to T-Mobile and got a Note 8. First thing upon turning it on was this new update. I'm transferring everything over using SmartSwitch so once that is done, I'll update my phone.

The articles I've seen specifically mention that this is NOT the Sept patch. I would expect another update fairly soon

The Verizon update claimed that the it contained the BlueBorne (Blue Tooth) Security patch. I am assuming that this just patched the Bluetooth stack.

They said it was the August patch because the phone just came out and that September would show up eventually. Also anyone notice an update through Galaxy apps for the calculator (couldnt figure out what that did) and Penup? Penup included coloring.

Yes I got those updates too for the calculator and pen up. I don't know what the difference is or why they needed an update.

Just received an update on the TMo version about 198Mb. Just finished updating so not sure what all was involved.

I got up this a.m. and my phone started downloading an update (I'm on TMobile). I can't find where to look what the update is for. Anyone else getting one? I like to at least see what it is for before downloading. I have it paused.

Mine updated and said that it was to improve security on blutooth. Software Version NMF26X.N950USQU1Ai5 Includes:Blueborne security patch. Improved GPS signal strength and more accurate Swype keyboard.

Several apps have disappeared. I no longer have a folder for Amazon, not are they on my screen. They are still listed in the apps under settings, but no way to open or find. Any suggestions?

I just noticed that my T-Mobile Note 8 is running 7.1.1. My unlocked S8+ is running 7.0 and my unlocked S7+ is on 7.0 as well as my T-Mobile S7 Edge being 7.0 as well.

Found this arrival on Android Pit

The 571MB update*package does not indicate*a version upgrade to Android Oreo. This update addresses*improvements in overall performance, wireless charging and camera stability. It also doesn't include the September security patches, which are likely to arrive soon.

I'm with Sprint and got my update yesterday.
