Note 8 Wi-fi lag, related to notification delay?

I've noticed that the wi-fi can be laggy at times. Apps lock up for extended times, or it takes a long time to switch to mobile data when walking away from the house.

I've also had the delayed notification issue that others experience. Yes, I get them populate when I first wake in the morning. But there are times I'll switch wi-fi off and suddenly receive a text message from ten minutes before.

I'm on Verizon....any suggestions?

A Note 8 is still under warranty, so bring it to a Verizon company store. At very worst, they'll have to replace the phone, so make sure you back everything up first (Backing up an Android Device).

I would doubt that there is any wrong with your phone. The problem is more likely with the speed of the server you are connecting with, or with the speed of your internet provider.
If your lagging with every site, check your internet speed. If it is slower than what you are paying for, reboot your modem to see if that helps. Check your sync settings to see if you have it set not to download unless on wifi.
