Note 8: Would you rather have a Headphone jack, a Bigger Battery, or FPS under the screen?

Roger that, it seemed like the person I quoted was suggesting that but I may have misunderstood. My main point was about mAh vs hours of use and I think that was more clear.
Yes, both efficiency (hardware/software) and mAh play a role. But take any phone and add mAh's without doing anything else and you will add usage and standby time to that device. We have to assume they are already doing what they can to optimize efficiency. There is only so much they can do. These things have big screens soaking up power.
Looking at the state of Chipset and Display technology today, as well as Android software today, I think 4000mAh size would make me pretty happy, but I guess we are always looking for more than what we get. :-) I'm guilty of that. For me battery life just happens to be a high priority because of my work. Others will obviously feel different. But judging from this silly little poll thread, I am not alone.

You're definitely not. How much it goes up is pretty important, I'm not ever going to care about 20-30 more minutes of usage, but give me 6 more hours and then we're talking.

I hate the idea if smearing my screen every time I unlock my phone...so no to the FPS. I don't have the battery obsession most smartphone users have. Good battery life is good enough for me. I charge my phone every night before bed...the end. So by default I'll pick the headphone jack.

Sadly, headphone jack here.. i dont know how many bluetooth things or just other things that i have to charge that i simply dont. 2-4 pairs of headphones, a speaker for the shower, anothee portable speaker.. my battery pack.. fit bit... lol i even have a multi unit charging station next to bed.. only thing plugged in is the cell

Does it really?! Has that been acknowledge? That's a major issue. I mean lucky I have wired options, but I use my Bluetooth for many other things.

My bluetooth headphones cut out constantly with my S8 -- it's annoying as hell. I've gone back to wired earbuds. :-/

Isn't it a moot point now - the phone is built and ready to ship! We should have been discussing this in 2016 when they were pulling the Note 7 out of our hands!

Damn! That's crazy! How long has that been occurring? I would think that would be a huge issue being that everyone in the world uses Bluetooth for a multitude of reasons. Sorry that's happening to you.

I have never used Bluetooth for anything. I am clearly a minority, but someone enlighten me what I'm missing, please.

For me:

Bluetooth Speakers
BT Headphones
Sending files back and forth between my phone and laptop
Connecting to my Gear S3
Connecting with other phones
Connecting with your car
Connecting with the PS4 and even my TV under the right circumstances. LoL

A multitude of things. LoL

PlaybookFanatic-- Thanks. Don't use any of those things, but clearly useful for a lot of people. Just as well I don't. The Pixel XL I got when my second Note 7 got wrested out of my hands doesn't do bluetooth very well I have been told by others who do use it and have that phone, too.

It's only with the earphones. I have some LG Bluetooth ones and as soon as I stick it in my pocket (front or back) it starts to break up.

When it syncs with my car it works like it's supposed to - except for one time. I had to delete the phones and then re-pair it to my Equinox (2017). Works just fine now.
