Android Central Question

I just upgraded from a Note 4 ... on my old phone, when I got a text message, it would continue to send the audible tone every 5 minutes (as this was what I set up) as a reminder that I received a text that I hadn't read it yet.

On my Note 9, I get one audible tone, and that's it! I'm constantly missing texts! I don't think there's a setting on the default Samsung messaging app, but I'm willing to download another SMS app and make this my primary to get this feature back ... any ideas?

You can use another app if you just want that for messaging (like Textra), or you can activate that for all notifications without having to switch apps. You just go to your phone's settings, Accessibility, and activate Notification Reminder.

I went into the Notification Reminder and noticed that I did have it turned on BUT I also had Vibrate turned on. So I turned this off and now, hopefully, I will get the audible repeat. It looks like it's an either/or choice which wasn't clear until now ! Thanks for your help!!!!
