Ringke Fusion Clear has been my case since I brought my lavender purple N9 home.
+ clear (not at all hazy), allows the unique phone color to be appreciated
+ thin overall but still offers some lip (not too thin if you ask me, but not a bulky case)
+ pretty rigid (I like that)
+ buttons are nice and responsive, great click
+ textured Bixby button so I don't confuse with the volume rocker
+ slope to the camera (not an abrupt cutout)
+ good cutouts, not too small around headphone jack or charging port
+ easy to remove the s-pen
- fingerprint magnet, but I think all clear cases are (doesn't seem too bad with scratches but too soon to say, I keep it pretty sheltered right now)
- tiny dot matrix on back is noticeable in some light, but then it might be why there is no rainbow effect so I don't mind it
- slick due to hard plastic back (although the nubs on the corners help it from slipping off a table too easily, it's still more prone to my clumsy drops than something with grip)
- The biggest downside to me, is that where my pinky rests it gets uncomfortable. The hard plastic and cutout of the headphone jack make it a sharp feel (not jagged or like it would cut). Compared to my old Speck Presidio Grip, this is disappointing because my hand naturally holds this big phone that way. I will say it is better when my right hand holds the phone, but I generally use my left. Obviously depends how you hold your phone, not a deal breaker for everyone.
I am thinking maybe I'll shell out for the Presidio clear or Tech21 clear. Maybe with added price comes better comfort, maybe less slip? I would recommend the Ringke still, especially if your clear case isn't your every day case. There are deals to be had making it even cheaper so I can't say I regret my purchase at all.
