All good until it drops face down onto a rock. I'm sure there must be a super case that can be dropped from 30,000 feet and survive, but it might be pricey. I've never had a screen break, but my kids have, and it had always been a situation where a case wouldn't have helped. If you're into the bulk, that's cool, but even the thin cases offer decent protection, but neither the heavy duty, or the thin can do much about the face down on a rock scenario. For me it's about doing what I can to prevent a fall, that's why I like the super grippy Speck Presidio Grip. Their price sucks though. Anyhow, not much point to this post, just sport what ever ya think is groovy my friend

Still narrowing down my options. Wife gets mad when I buy 4 cases for a phone. Ordered one of the slick deals for $2, but now I need one with a belt clip and I want a clear one too. Probably go with supcase for the belt clip and I'm leaning towards ringke for the clear one.

I will be getting both the S View and the Rugged Case, probably both in Black.
Rugged for day to day, S view for when I travel to client sites, I like a little bit of privacy that the cover provides

Just ordered the Caseology legion. Just in case my Rugged case from Samsung isn't shipped with my phone I got a backup case. I ordered the Legion for my last 3 phones as a backup during pre order. Never used them much because I ended up finding the Defender before launch.
I think this time I will use these two cases until the suppliers I buy from have the Note 9 generic Defenders in stock. One of my suppliers today told me in a few weeks they should be getting those.
I'm tired of spending $60 for the Defender each time.

Just ordered these 2 cases. One from Amazon won't be here till next Wednesday, so I'm ok with phones not arriving before then.
The UAG will be my daily driver, but the wallet case will be used when I'm wearing shorts with no pockets, getting tired if carrying my phone and wallet all the time.

The last Monarch case that I purchased from UAG where it said ships in 1-2 weeks shipped from Hong Kong and took forever to get here. I want the Monarch case but will wait for Amazon or Best Buy to have them in stock.
I ordered the UAG Plasma in Ice. Still a bit concerned about the Front lip protection? Have you used it before. I am currently a note 8 user with an Otterbox commuter. Commuter stands the test of time. boss case but super bulky
i like the UAG plasma/Otterbox Symmetry or wait for the Rhinoshield Bumper case. Im probably buying all 3 and returning 2.
Ive tried cheaper cases in the past and have never had as much protection as an Otterbox. Using Commuter on Note 8. a 50 dollar case is better than a $200 insurance claim

The Otterbox (Defender in my case)has proven VERY protective for my devices. Also the UAG Monarch is another great one
For the initial case I got a clear (Spigen? Forget the brand) that is quite durable, though not heavy duty like the Otterbox.

I've used it before, I'm happy with it. You will get better protection with the monarch, but it's more bulky.
