Note 9 similar to Note 8?

Well if they want to compete with Huawei and Apple they better do better than just small upgrades, just look what happened with the iPhone X selling less than half of expected numbers and discontinued after a year

The X was totally different then any iPhone and iPhone users don't want different. That's why they buy iPhones.

That may be another reason NOT to change much. The X being different flopped. By the time the Note 10 comes out, it will be almost forgotten, just the like Note 7.

I kept my Note 5 for two years and it was fine. Depending on how my Note 8 performs at the release and what the Note 9 is will be my deciding factor

This bums me out. I was a note user until forced to give up my 7. I then got a Pixel XL which has turned it to be a very good phone. I didn't get the Note8 because it didn't seem like anything special. I also didn't go to the Pixel2, I was waiting on this Note9. Ugh! Now I find myself conflicted.

No Offense, but if you weren't addicted to the S-Pen, then there are a lot of other great options for phones with large screens nowadays without having to be bummed about the Note 9 rumors.
I'm excited about getting back to a phone with an S-Pen. The S9 plus is cool for me, but not enough.

As much as I want I need the S-Pen the reality is I hardly ever ever use it unless I make myself. Yet, I know he Note 9 will likely call me.

I love me an SPen but it turned out that I mostly used it to meme farm I might get one, I don't know yet. I haven't been excited about a phone since I got the N7. I truly loved that phone. We'll see.

I loved the Note 7 too. I liked the form of it more than the Note 8. Of course the Note 8 performs better but the overall feel in my hand and teh screen ration I liked better.

Note 7 was awesome. Hated having to give it up.

I think the Note7 was awesome at the time. Given the option now, I would definitely stick with the current version. I'm over the physical home button. I still have a Note 4 for work and it's awful.

The Note 7 was the best Note I've owned.

I loved my note 7. I still miss it but moved on of course. It was an awesome phone but note8 my best note. Now if I didn't have the note8 then I would definitely say note 7 was the best phone I've had:)

When I first got the Note 8 I liked it. Then the Bixby button started getting a lot of accidental pushes. It's just a little too long to me.

Yeah I understand what you are saying. I have to hold my note8 with both hands most of the time. It kind of bothered me at first but i got used to it. And lol I've hit the Bixby button by accident a few times but haven't in awhile. I can see how it could a problem for some. Note9 is most likely going to have the same issue.

amen. miss it still. the Note 8 is great, but too thin and too long for me. every time I type a text I hit the right key but the wrong letter is displayed because the keyboard is so scrunched. the Note 7 was a little slice of heaven right here on earth... and only the good die young, right? ??????

Why so many like the Note 7 more than Note 8? The moment Note 8 ditched the physical home button, my love for Note 7 becomes zero lol

I loved the note 7 but love my note8 way more and I definitely do not miss the physical home button lol. Hopefully Samsung doesn't bring that back anytime soon.

I think people are being sentimental, like remembering old movies you haven't seen in years. Then, you watch it again and it's not as good as you remembered.
I loved the Note7 when it came out as well. I wouldn't want it today, though. IMO, everything is better on the Note8. I still have a 5.7" 16:9 on my Note 4 and it's awful. Yes, it's flat, too. Big deal. It also has a removable battery. Again...big deal. Yes, I'm being sarcastic. Phones evolve. The Note7 was no different.

I don't have a note 8 so I don't really care if the n 9 is similar. Im just ready to get my note back and I'm impatiently waiting on the 9. Announce it already so I can know when I can pre-order.Lol
