Note 9 to have a FLAT screen!

The different character sets do not make a substantial difference to memory use. Anyway, phones are normally pre-programmed with a large number of languages - check out the language settings in your own phone.

They may be preprogrammed with many languages but the language isn't downloaded until you need to use it.

But the phone needs be to able to accommodate these downloaded languages. This does not make a significant difference to memory use.

i will go for the flat screen.
better in hands.
less sensitive when you put a screen protection.
more classy

Watch the video - still has the curved edge but slightly squared off. Notice it's also showing embedded fps - that ain't gonna happen.....so take it all with a pinch of salt.

I have the note 8 and that is THE one thing I don't like, the curved edges. The reason for me is that when I am looking at it with lights above and I get glare, I can move the phone to ease the glare but the curves leave a glare line along the curve hiding the outside edge of the screen. If the screen were flat I would not have this issue.
And yet you still bought one....obviously wasn't a deal breaker then!

That's just the screen size. Note 8 gives you more screen with similar phone size, is it bad?
Yes it is bad. Wrong aspect ratio of any tv show I watch. I don't like curves. It is even bigger than iPhone 8+ so pocket carry is out. I really hate the screen ratio on all the new top of the line phones. The curves are fine for the s9 crowd. Note should be all business 16:9 no curves

The edge screens are great for business, for notifications and quick access to features.
Not hitting bezels with the S-Pen gave the phone a feeling of being more like a real pad.

I have an LG V20. Flat screen. 16b:9 ratio. My Note 3 was like my V20. Would love another flat screen 16:9 Note. Why do u say I bought the wrong phone?

You say it has the wrong aspect ratio for any tv show u watch & you hate it, you dont like curves, its too big to carry in your pocket, wow that would be too many negatives for me. Each to their own tho.

I don't own a Note 8. I'm hoping note 9 is better

Well I guess that because you were so negative and obviously hating the Note 8 I figured you must have owned one to know what you were talking about - by the same token I would not be posting in the LG threads saying how useless the LG V20 is because I've never owned one so I wouldnt know what they're like to live with as a daily driver. BTW, LG is only 3mm shorter than Note 8 but 3.3mm wider - pretty insignificant when it comes to trying to fit one into your pocket. Note display is a whole 0.6 inch larger - better for videos, surely. Hardware is much higher spec on Note 8, and cameras I don't care about. Maybe you made the right choice for you. I'm sure I made the right choice for me
This is where you should be looking......hope you dont mind notches though!

Omg they did what apple did. Guess apple will sue for copying again lol. At least that is what I thought heard when they sued Samsung. I could be wrong tho. Please Samsung do not ever do the notch lol. At least not on the note.
