note 9 vc s10 plus

Yea, it makes no sense to me why you TAKE features away but then raise the price. Yea it has more storage but most of us wont come near using 1tb and we have SD cards anyway.

Fine, if you take Iris scanner away then at least swap it out with the IR blaster and I wont complain at all. I personally don't use Iris scanner because I wear contacts and when I don't have them in I have issues with it but it's just the point why you take features away but then jack prices up.

The S10 line seems overrated anyway once the hype has worn off. If Huawei could get hooked up with the major carriers they'd give Sammie a serious run and I would consider their high end model too if they only became more mainstream. If Huawei ever does and Samsung keeps jacking up prices and removing features then I could see Sammie being in big trouble in the smartphone market.

"Big trouble in the market" ? I don't think that will happen. Worse case scenario would be them dropping to number 3 on the OEM list. Samsung tends to rapidly retrace its steps after stepping in cow dung (S6/Note 5 lack of memory card slot; Note 7 battery fiasco). I expect the defects of the S10 to have been sorted out in the Note 10.

Huawei has set a target to overtake Samsung by 2020. Looking at how fast they grow I wouldnt be surprised.

My gf's mate 20, believe it or not is snappier and responds faster to my touches better than my note 9!

I could get the unlocked one but no US warranties on them. Plus, having another big heavy hitter would be good because with more competition Samsung might have to actually lower prices or add features back such as the IR blaster.

I used my spen once again today at my cell phone accessory kiosk to write down the cases I have to bring from home tomorrow. I find it comes in handy for taking notes like that. The note 10 just needs to hurry up NOW!

Not unless they lure Verizon with their best phones. Not covering all radios constrains their sales opportunities.

In many other markets they have already overtaken Samsung or are on par with them in regards to sales number. US is not their only market

Even with the Chinese and Indian markets included Huawei are still very far away from Samsung worldwide to the no.1 spot and that is with their sub brands included in shipping/sales figures, they have done well though but I don't think they can keep the pace from the last few years.
I would seriously like to get a Pro 30 alongside my Note8 - soon enough to become a Note 10 :-)

In 2018 Samsung's market share was 20.9% while Huawei's was 15.8%. Maybe in a few years time they might!
In any case we as consumers stand to benefit with more competition! But alas the prices are rising as well....

In any case with Huawei competition heat maybe Samsung will add features back to the phones then. If Huawei can get the US and Korean market then Samsung will really be taking heat. I personally would like to see Huawei get bigger though. I'd love to buy one of their top of the line phones in the US just to have something different for a change. Not saying I'm bored with Samsung but using them for the last 8 years I wouldn't mind another top tier spec android to try that's on par with the Note.

Wow 8 years that's some loyalty Haha. I came from iPhones cause got really bored of them. And iam already excited what my next android phone is gonna be :)

Well until Huawei comes up with a Note with s-pen, Samsung will pretty much be guaranteed my money.
I would really like to try their P30 Pro though

Huawei's folding phone is better than the Samsung one. I would be interested to see one though. If Huawei came out with a top tier note taking device I'd be all over it too then if it had 8gb ram, IR blaster etc. No I wouldn't by an cheap LG Stylo type device. Huawei I'm sure could build a Note taking device rivaling the Note if they want to.

They all could make a Samsung Note line , why didn't they ? IPHONE,HUAWEI ect

Well I guess I will say my piece. I dont care if you use the S pen or not, the S10 series can not hold a candle to the Note 9. Sure we will see what the Note 10 does but hey The Note 9 is still the best of the best. The 10 was rushed and displayed as the new update however way to many rough edges. JMO but I feel the rest is BS and hype! The Note 9 is still rock solid and a keeper after running the S10+ and the S10e.

I love my note 9

I agree. Same with the S9 Plus too. Overpriced and hyped. Now I don't even see the S10 hyped a lot unlike the Note 9 which was really hyped.

The Note is Samsung's top tied device. Yes the S series sells a lot more but the Note is overall always the better top end device Samsung puts out. Even right now because of the Spen I would still put the Note 9 tied with top tier device with the S10 Plus.

I wish Samsung would release them all at once. However I guess they figure some of us on here will blow money on the S device and then 6 months later buy the Note device.

If the Note 10 had like a 1300 price tag THEN I would maybe buy the S10 Plus discounted and then buy a tab S4. Hell I'd even maybe would consider the folding phone from Huawei maybe.

Sad that I have to wait another 1 year 3 months to change my phone..

But if the note 9 still goes on strong I might consider keeping it for a longer time. Although it had to go back to the service centre 2 weeks ago so it might not last that long with me.
