Note 9 wish list.

1) 4000mah or greater battery
2) Stereo Speakers
3) At LEAST 128GB onboard storage
4) Remove bottom bezel, thinner top bezel, & side bezel too (my Note 7 had thinner side bezels)
5) Fingerprint scanner on-screen
6) 32-bit Quad DAC
7) Different colors (Red would be nice)
8) Differentiation in physical appearance from S9
9) 120hz, 4K screen
10) Better KEEP the headphone jack

There wasn't a note 9 thread. Also this is note 8 users stating opinions about what they would like to see in future iterations.

A Note 9 section will be made eventually but until then we keep discussions like this in the "Rumored" area .

Seriously, this phone rocks. Give me a bigger battery, and I'll call it the best phone I've ever owned, by far.

Although if we are dreaming, I'd take stereo front speakers but with no bezel, front AND back fingerprint scanner, LG DAC, and 120Hz screen. Oh, and let me assign default apps to Bixby...

I like the curved screen. The Note8 is the best ever, but lets blow everyone away with the 9. Keep the phone the same height but a little wider to get back to a 16:9 aspect. Get ride of the thin bottom bezel, shrink the top even further. Embedded front finger print scanner. Stereo speakers. Increase the camera zoom. 256 gb standard. 4000 mah battery.

Plus infra red, keep headphone jack I know it's dead now but removable battery

It's kind of interesting that, so far, nobody has mentioned the foldable screen that is rumored could be a feature of the N9. Personally I gave up my flip phone years ago, and could care less to have it back again.

Just give me stereo speakers and perhaps just a bit more juice and I would be just a bit happier than I am now with my N8 which I'm already thrilled with.

oh yea the new trend that no one asked for. Curved glass Folding screens. I think down the road it has potential but the tech isn't ready for prime-time yet. But I guess you gotta put it out there and see how it does. Unless it ends up being as thin as regular phones and doesnt sacrifice features it could be ok I guess I just dont really have a need for it now.

This! Totally this! 128 should be standard for 2018. Change that finger print location. A more fluid UI... project treble yes!

Anyway, I'm looking to get down with the Note series to go with my Pixel 2 XL. Maybe start with Note 8 if there's a nice black Friday deal.

With Samsung it's always been, we'll give you a little bit of something, something, which beats a whole lot of nothing.

Just dump everything in it, the (S9 Note) but the kitchen sink.
I'm not coming out of my note for Just Quad Dac.
My Bose headphones sound good.
My Bose surround is excellent.
Polk Audio car System is off the chain.

I need to see a dramatic leap forward, or I'm going to wait 3 years.

I'd like to see, Samsung come up with, wireless charging, whereas you just walk into the room and your phone starts charging as if it's recieving a signal from a plugged in charger of some sort. No more wires. You get in the car, and your phone starts charging until its full.
Technology is there. I know I know I'm reaching, but that would be cool.

I'm good with the scanner either way, they should make it rear under the screen , and the Note historically resembles the S series, the 1st Note resembled the S2, they even skipped the Note6 to make the S and Note lines uniform

1. Wider screen not longer fully 4k capable, with the option to scale it down to 2k or FHD
2. Customizable fonts on S- Note/Samsung Notes
3. Native screen record (like promised on the Note II)
4. Keep the FPR on the rear of the phone, even putting the physical home button but keep them separate, clicky home button/FPR combo doesn't work well, Just center it to keep the complaints (it doesn't bother me cuz I have big hands and long fingers)
5. Dual Microphones (Top and bottom firing)
6. removable battery or larger battery 4,500 mAh
7. All color options everywhere not just certain regions
8. Option to toggle an edge panel like the Note Edge in 2014
9. Change the edge panels to work while the current screen is active, this fuzzy timeout thing is dated
10 . Foldable/rollable/ flexible screen (long shot)

1. Better speakers. Do something similar to Apple. use earphone piece as a speaker & bottom firing speaker.
2. Bigger battery. But I'm still impressed with Note 8 battery.
3. Fast charging 3.0
4. Better location of fingerprint reader. If not inbedded in screen at least put more in middle of back.
5. Keep headphone jack please.
6. I'm good with onboard 64 gig but would be nice to have 128 out the box.
7. Screen is great now on Note 8 so I don't see a need to bump up to 4K. I mean could we really even tell the difference much with naked eye.
8. Of course include latest and greatest Gorilla Glass and top specs that are out at the time along with newest Android software.
9. Push it a tad more with camera specs. Great Camera now but when u see what Google has done with one I know samsung could blow it out the park. Especially with 2 rear cameras.

Overall I'm VERY HAPPY with my Note 8. love it
