Note Edge or Note 4?

I have no problem with buying and returning because I don't really care how well it works for anyone else but me and mine. ...but everyone is not like you and I. Some do a tremendous amount of research before they let go of even 5 cents. The thing is that there's nothing that you or I can write that is going to change how anyone does this decision-making thing as they're approach has been serving them for years and who are me and you to tell them they're research method is wrong? Someone wants an opinion or info about a phone? Sure, it's free. :)

BL: If they're the type to ask... they're gonna ask and this is the place for them to ask about android phones and it's good to help.

I personally think the edge with flip case from sa,sung is one of the best devices I've ever owned! It's truly sleek and innovative and rather convenient while sitting in a meeting and not having to glance at my phone for so long to view a notifocation.... the orange glare from the edge immediately notifies me that I've got a text.

The Edge is undoubtedly a neat device that uses its flexible display in an innovative and arguably very useful manner. It's not for everyone but most people that I've come across that have one like it. The sales guy at Best Buy that had one personally didn't seem very keen on it and that really rather surprised me.

Ha, with all due respect I don't think it's bashing, it's just not right for me for now. Don't get me wrong, it's a unique phone. I just find the unique features rather redundant especially when I wear my Gear S watch. Fantastic that the Edge works for you and others. Maybe the Note Edge 2 may work for me then.

Everywhere I go with my Gear S, people tell me that its a cool watch. Then they ask me If that is the new Apple watch. I guess that is a flattering comparison.

The Gear S is an incredibly cool looking smart watch with its wrap around flexible AMOLED display. I wish it had been more useful to me, if so, I might still have it.

I don't base my decisions on what is written here but I do take all the comments into account when deciding. Sometimes you don't always think of a point when trying to decide and sometimes, you're given something new to ponder. In the end though, I decide for myself but I do love reading everyone's opinions.

I must admit that I go back and forth between the Gear S and the Moto 360. I really liked the looks of that watch and was sad when I took it off my wrist to put on the Gear S. I really liked the AMOLED display but, I also liked the Google Now information on the Moto 360, the band options as well as the ability not to be locked into the Samsung ecosystem. At first when I got the Moto 360, I missed the Gear 2 but then got used to the simplicity of the Moto 360.

Love my edge more than I did the 4.. Use the edge everyday it's a new way for me not to have a dock..

My .02
Debated and got the Edge. Figured I'd use the 14 day return if needed and get the 4. Love the edge. No issues with mine. I don't charge it during the day and I'm not sure I've been below 50% battery yet. Generally I read a lot of books on it, text, calls, email and some but not a lot of internet.

I would buy the phone again over the 4. Same specs, battery life is not in question for me, I really like the apps on the edge screen and with the Seido case/holster I think it might be easier to hold than my old Note 2.

I'm really disappointed in the guy who raved about it and then left it for the 4. Poor form imo. Not sure why your battery isn't lasting. I've been on smart phones before they even had a phone in them, lol (PDA's) So maybe I'm just battery savoy. Don't know. I'm not a super phone junkie like a lot of folks but I do use it a lot and it performs well. Have no problem recommending it to anyone.
But I do have to say, the edge panel is very useful and super cool too. A puppy though will work better if your trying to use it to your social advantage, lol.

As of Saturday, I will have both. I bought the Note 4 first and ordered the Note edge Friday, I will have it Saturday. I want to be able to use both.

I wanted the Note 4 because of the metal case and I use that for my job. I'll use the Edge for everything else.

Well I think I've completed my yearly refresh and I was trying to decide between the Note Edge and the Nexus 6. I went with the Nexus 6 but still have the Note Edge on my mind. The thing is I already have a Note 3 and Note 4 so it didn't seem like messing with the Edge made even a bit of sense...but that's never stopped me before.

For me there was never a question between these two. As soon as they announced the Edge was coming to Finland I knew I was going to get it. I know there are trade-offs in terms of battery performance and so on, but this is something else. And the edge panel is actually really useful. But I'm sure you can't go totally wrong with either one. They are the ultimate smartphones, I think.

I honestly thought for the longest that you had the Edge, (and the N4). I really think you would love using it, despite having other Notes already.

Watching YouTube videos of use (not reviews they don't delve into the edge ) will help you gain perspective. Some little aren't creative enough to see something and automatically easily find a use for it.

I now have both. I'm not sure which one is going to be my main phone but I do like them both. Seeing app notifications display in the side panel on the Edge is very nice instead of having to swipe down to see the notification. I have the S-View cover on my Note 4 so it does add more bulk to it to make it harder to handle sometimes.

I can see that I will easily have about the same usage on either phone now that I've changed the settings to be the same on each phone. The Edge also doesn't feel so cheap now that I've held it and used it.

I think I'm taking the Edge with me tonight. I'm glad I have both!

Oh, Google Voice makes it easy to have two phones and just use one number.

Why would Edge feel cheaper? Are you one of those who thought that Note 4 was metal and Edge wasn't? Both have a metal chassis. Note 4 does not have a metal case as you mentioned in another post.
