Note8 4K@60FPS??

"Note8 4K@60FPS??"

Is that two questions, or just one that's doubly puzzling?

In any case, you raise an interesting point. I hadn't noticed that they do advertise UHD 60fps. My TMO Note8 does not have that option, even after today's launch-date firmware update. But your link is for the Unlocked model. Maybe that one does support UHD 60fps.

I understood the title -- sounds like he is asking if you can record 4K at 60 FPS. I assume the question was asked because Apple has managed to do it within their new iPhone X.

you mean the one there still working on issues with thats been delay till October?

Samsung official website says it
Samsung Galaxy Note8 (Unlocked) Midnight Black: SM-N950UZKAXAA| Samsung US

But the remaining problem is that the Snapdradon 835 variant doesn't support 4K @60FPS so I wonder whether this is true..

Since when..... Is this a joke? Of course the SnapDragon 835 supports 4k @ 60fps. The update will be out in October when there done with the build.. And I'm sure it will be better than (if not equal to) the iPone 8's 4k @60. :)

They should work on the 1080p 60fps first because it looks like crap dropping frames all over the place. Not to mention jello/jitter when panning around. Compare the iPhone 1080p 60fps to N8 1080p 60fps and will notice a yuge difference in quality. It's disappointing to say the least. It's like they threw it in there just to say we have it too without optimizing it.

I'm sure the camera's firmware will keep getting better and better with each update.. :)

We are talking 60FPS video Capture, the Snapdragon does not support capture only 60FPS playback.

The only Note8 that could do this is the Note8 Exynos, as the Exynos8895 supports both 4K@120FPS Capture and Playback.

Would be great if they released 4K@60FPS capture for Exynos S8, S8+ and Note8, but then it would be unfair for those on Snapdragon phones, unless Samsung have found a way to get the 835 to handle 4K@60FPS Capture.

Awe man!

So i don't get it.. So the camera can do 3840x2160 but the screen can't display that resolution?
Well the display will downsample to WQHD+ but still retain the Frame Rate, making the video incredibly crisp. It's how it's always been in Smartphones.

Remember the Nokia N95 with its 'DVD Quality video'? It recorded VGA (640x480) @ 30FPS which was incredible at the time, yet it had a QVGA (320x240) display.

I hope they work on 1080p@240fps.

Has anyone had any hands-on experience with the iPhone 8plus and shooting in 4k/60fps? Just wondering. I've watched a few videos comparing the two some and seem like there's a drastic difference others seem like there's not much of a difference at all... Just wondering since I have the SD 835 N8. I'm looking for the best phone that takes 4k videos and who knows if they will take the training wheels off the Exynos version... Now that 4k/60 is available, I'm pretty interested in it
