HI - Can someone point me towards the best way on how to have the data I have in Microsoft Outlook Notes appear in my D3?

Thanks!

Google docs or quick office pro. Google docs stores in the cloud

Thanks for that, bworley50!

I'm wondering how the sync part of those things would go. I create "Notes" on my desktop, and also (on my previous Palm Centro) created/accessed these notes on my cell phone. When I got back to the office I could sync between the desk top and the phone.

Would you know if Google docs or quick office pro will allow me to sync with my desktop Microsoft Outlook "Notes"?

Thanks again -

I'm not sure, but I have my google calendar synchronized to my outlook calendar. Works great. Google it to see how. There has to be a way. Sorry I couldn't be more help. I manually upload things to google docs.

I'm using a Droid X, but for me it was a two step process to keep Outlook Notes synced with my droid: First I had to buy gSyncit from fieldstonsoftware.com ($20) to sync Outlook with my gmail account. It syncs calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes with gmail. Then I downloaded GDocs Notepad from the Android Market on my phone, which syncs notes with my gmail account. The beauty of all of this is that it all syncs seamlessly in the cloud for free, and I never worry about plugging in my phone and hitting a "sync" button.

Thank you jbideganeta and bworley50!

jbideganeta - sounds like your approach is something that might work for me.

I wonder if there is any way to know ahead of time whether the fact that I have a Droid 3 (instead of the Droid X) might lead to problems ...

I'm new to the smart phone universe :-) ... can you tell! :-)

Shouldn't be a problem.

Hi jbideganeta - I'm almost there on this, thanks!

I downloaded the trial gsyncit, and the folders from Outlook Notes are now in my google docs!!

As I was about to download gdocs notepad from the Android Market, though, I saw the official description read: "It doesn't support folders - all notes are synced to a single Google Doc's folder (whose name can be changed in the app's Settings)".

I'm not sure exactly what they mean "folders". In my Outlook (now, Google Docs), I have about 200 Notes, each with the title line showing. I click on the title line, and the multiple-line note opens in a new document.

In your experience, do you think I will be able to do that in my Droid 3? ...Or will all my separate Google docs be crammed into one really long document on my Droid 3 that I'll have to scroll through?

Thanks much ... I can almost taste it I'm so close, I think!

Edit: I'm kind of holding off on dowloading an app to sync the Droid 3 w/ Google docs - there are a million to choose from, some with not so great reviews, it's kind of overwhelming. I see there's an "official" one by Google called "Google Docs" - I wonder if that is the app to download nowadays? Thanks -

Hi - just a quick bump please to ask if people think "Google Docs" released by Google is the best way to sync between Google Documents in the cloud and my Droid 3?

Thanks -

Thanks again everybody. Just downloaded the app, and now I have all my notes from desktop Outlook on my Droid 3. The 2-way sync seems to be working OK too - I deleted from the Droid 3, and it disappeared on my laptop.

Also, just to document: Google docs keeps the folders from Outlook.

I'm good to go - thanks again!
