Noticably worse battery life after update.

My battery app tells me time remaining as well as discharge rate. It used to be over 21+ hrs from full, and a discharge rate of 1% per 15 minutes.

Now it's 15-16 hours from full and a discharge rate of 1% per 10 minutes.

Any thoughts or observations on this?

I don't have that battery app, but going by my personal observations, so far my battery life seems to be improved. At this point I'd usually be at around 17% (took it off the charger yesterday morning). Right now my battery meter shows 24% remaining.

I've had the update since Tuesday. Battery life is no different - no better, no worse.

I don't know if it was the Cache Wipe or the reinstall of my battery app, but all seems good.

Thanks all.

Huh. I was stunned this morning that after I pulled it off the charger at midnight, it was at 98% at 9:30! I'm in airplane overnight. That's pretty astonishing.

I've seen that before. I believe it's due to the battery charging & discharging while plugged in. Apparently they do that so they don't overcharge the battery and shorten it's lifespan. I remember hearing about that a few years ago on HTC phones. The same thing happens to my laptop, I don't know that I've ever seen it at 100%, it's always says something like 95 or 98% and not charging even though the charger is plugged in.

I have noticed, non scientifically about .2%, that's point two percent less battery usage per hour since the update.
Not a lot but over the life of the phone it might make difference in battery life.

I had awesome battery life prior to update and then like many others it noticeably got worse after updating. I experimented and removed the Apex launcher that I had running and that fixed the problem. I'm back to normal again! Check to see if any programs that aren't stock might be causing the reduced battery life.
