Notification Badge App Icons slow to update after Nougat

Hi,

Minor issue but I'm noticing that the Verizon Messages, Facebook Messenger, and Facebook badge app icons are slow to go away after I look at a notification or a message. It's the "1" that is on top of the icon. Sometimes it takes a few seconds and other times it's a few minutes.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this. The phone is a year old now, so I don't know if this is something that just happens with older phones. I've been upgrading every year, but this time around and with the quality of the S7 Edge I'm holding off upgrading for now.

Hi! This issue sometimes happens with my phone, as well. It's a weird little glitch, isn't it? Have you tried restarting your device? Have you had any app updates recently?

If you've recently taken the Nougat update, I'd recommend that you clear the system cache. Normally, that seems to be a pretty good way to knock out a bunch of little issues that come up with an OS upgrade, or even when any of the base apps are updated through the Play store.
