Notification bar, home button is not working on moto x play

[AC Question]

In the last 24 hours, I am having several issues with a moto x play. the drop down menu from the top of the screen no longer contains any of the buttons (Bluetooth/wifi/data etc), the on/off button will now not allow restart or flight mode only power off and the button at the bottom of the screen to return to the home page no longer works.
I tried safe mode, deleted all recent apps, tried to switch to guest user (didn't allow me to switch) Any help would be great!

I've run into this exact same problem on my Nexus 6 running Android 7.0. I tried to follow the solution suggested at the linked thread but the .SetupWizardTestActivity activity isn't an option; I'm guessing due to being in a more recent version. I don't suppose you know if there is an equivalent activity in 7.0 or some other way to trigger the same effect?

I'm curious to know what the underlying cause is. At any rate I haven't tried a factory reset yet but that's probably my next move.

Hey Siragi! Welcome to the forums. I've seen this same problem reported for devices running Lollipop and Marshmallow, but not for Nougat so far. I'm not sure if that activity can be accessed from Nova, sorry, and none of my phones have updated to 7.0.

I'd would recommend you to create a new thread on the Nexus 6 forum giving as many details as you can. In the meantime I'll try to find some information about this issue affecting devices on Nougat.

Thanks for the quick reply, and apologies my delayed one. Holidays put phone debugging on hold. I'll follow your advice and post in the Nexus 6 forums, and I'll search around to see if any new info has popped up for this issue on Nougat since I last looked.
