Notification bar scrolling up and down

Hi forum,

My notification bar text often scrolls up and after a second down again. Mostly after closing an app, but not always...
Has someone the same problem or any idea what could cause this behaviour?
This happens since a few months and is a bit annoying so I'd be grateful for help...

Thanks for answer. No, I don't have.
It's not the notification info pulling down and up as if I swipe it down, it is just the text line up there which moves like in a vertical text scroller up out and then down in again.
I suspect a certain software to be responsible for that effect, but don't know which app it is... Some firewall apps tell internet connections that happen in the notification bar often, but there is no new text displayed, the existing info just moves up and down again.

Welcome to the forums. I remember reading about a similar issue some time ago and for some users the culprit was Clean Master. Do you have any cleaner, booster or ram manager app installed in your phone? Any app by Cheetah Mobile?

Since one or two months I have CM Security installed. I additionally installed CM Cleaner, because it was said they're fine to use together. Clean Master I deinstalled after some days, because CM Security seems to be able to do the job, too...

Well I could look into the settings of the Security app...

Well, I would start disabling or, even better, uninstalling any CM app. Most times they can do more harm than good and will fill your phone with adware.

Let's try a couple of other things then. But first, what phone do you have? Are you using the stock launcher or a custom one? Do you remember if you installed any system update or updated any of your apps right before this problem showed up?

What happens if you boot your phone into safe mode? If you still see the same issue it means there's something wrong with your system, including some glitch with your launcher. If not, then there's a conflict with some third party app that you downloaded.

Also, wipe the cache partition from recovery and clear your cached data in your storage settings.

My phone is Samsung Galaxy J1.

I'm using no special launcher.

How is booting in safe mode done?
Can it harm my device in any way?

I have deinstalled all my firewall apps and the CM Security and the CM Clean Master apps, but still the same.

So far.

Those Verizon links usually get modified by the forum software for some odd reason. Clicking on it still takes you to the correct site.

Safe Mode will not affect your personal data in any way. All it does is temporarily disable your 3rd party apps that you installed, thus helping you narrow down a problem as being caused by something you installed or something that was preinstalled (or the system itself).

Thanks for the follow up! Another app by Cheetah Mobile giving problems. I uninstalled it a long time ago when I heard that CM was buying it. :(
Yes, but I may add: I had a version ABOVE 4.6.9.1486 (don't remember which version it was exactly and where I got it (maybe Aptoide store)). Only this version of it made trouble. In this 'version' it not only produced this 'notification' all the time, but also the app data has grown rapidly!
Then I noticed that in the Play Store there is an older version (4.6.9.1486) and this one has NO bad notification effect and is NOT growing in app data. So it's nice with this older version. Don't know what was wrong with the 'newer' version...
