Notification bar transparency

Stock, unrooted, any ideas how to fix my notification bar not being opaque dark?

For some reason, I also can't load the image from my phone. Will try in a reply, or edit from the desktop when I can.

Its not opaque and its not supposed to be in Sense.

So its not a bug or something that needs fixing.

Hmm. I seem to remember it having been that way. Maybe I'm just way off and have always had dark backgrounds.

There is a dark theme you could try, and then just add your wallpaper back in.

Ot maybe try the matt skin?

Not sure I totally understand the difference between a theme and a skin.

Skin: Colors of the menu, notification, lock screen, etc.
Theme: Home pages, widgets, shortcuts, etc all changed with one click

I can't find a skins option in my M8. I hate the transparent status bar and even with the black theme my wallpaper is light at the top and I cannot see the icons.
