According to the leaked spec sheet Phil posted about earlier today there should, in fact, be a notification LED on the Galaxy Nexus. I know some of you may not care at all about this, but for others (including me) this is some great news, assuming it's true. The only issue is, I don't really see it on the leaked picture.

Which color could the indicator be? I know one of them should be the proximity sensor, another should be the light sensor.

Re: Notification LED

There was a post on Droid-Life that said the notification LED would be at the bottom. Perhaps it's onscreen and integrated into the soft buttons?

Re: Notification LED

I forgot all about the notification led. I missed it so much when I first got my galaxy s and would love my next phone to have 1. It's the small things you miss the most.

Re: Notification LED

I've always loved having a notification LED on my phones going back to the days when I had a BlackBerry. It's so convenient just to be able to look at your phone and be able to tell if you had any new messages.

Totally agree!

Re: Notification LED

Notification led is hidden in the bottom bezel under the on sceen buttons, they showed it during the live stream (it looks like the ball of the nexus one when its on)

Re: Notification LED

I've gotten used to NoLED so I can have different icons for different notifications which is handy, but I think I'd rather have a built in LED like I had on my BB.

Re: led?

Yes, they appear on the bottom "chin" of the phone. The area is hidden until the LED lights up.

Argh, I wish there was more info on this! How bright is it? Bright enough to see when face down? Is it multi colored so different apps have different colored notification lights?

Re: led?

I think this was one of the most understated features of the phones. It's going to feel so good to finally have a good notification light again!

Since it has a curved screen, it will probably be easily noticeable in the dark when its face down

Re: led?

It's going to be weird looking below the screen for the notification light....
