I had my phone plugged into my car and normally the notification light it Orange when charging. After a while it was flashing green and orange I did not have any emails or texts and even if I did it has always stayed orange while charge before.

Any ideas why that would happen?

On gingerbread that notifies you to unplug it and unplug the charger from the wall I believe...

My inspire does that. I think its just to show that its fully charged. Nothing special.

I would think that a flashing notification light while the phone is plugged into the charger is indication of possible overheating or other error condition. I would unplug it, remove/reinsert the battery and restart.

I didn't read it anywhere...but its what happens when your battery overheats (at least while its plugged in), check the htc battery widget.

Now that you mention it it was really hot. I bet that's what it was and I had navigation on in the window and it was super hot outside.

All makes sense just never knew there was a light notification for it while plugged in.

Nice feature.

That's why I like my vent mounted cradle. The A/C kept my phone nice and cool the entire time I took a 2-week road trip.
