Not stupid. Basically you need to erase the phone and put it back to stock. It will remove ALL installed apps, files, etc. Go to Settings > Backup & Reset > Factory data reset.

sorry for the stupid question, but how do you perform a "hard reset" ?

i dont get notification lights for SMS messages (default SMS program). never installed any 3rd party messaging apps other than whats app, nor do i have lightflow or anything. i also dont get light notifications for corporate exchange email.

however, gmail, whats app, and facebook do have flashing notification lights.

any idea what gives?
