Notification Light

I have what I could potentially call an issue with my S6 Edge from Verizon. For some reason when my device screen is off I get a blinking red notification light and when I check I have no notifications, anyone got any suggestions as to why this happens? Thanks!

Is the battery low? I have a Verizon edge and the only time it goes red is low battery or charging.
