Android Central Question

My Galaxy S9 was just updated this morning, 2/7, version N960USQU1CSAA and something got messed up.

When I get a new notification, the screen does not wake up with the notification. I don't know why it suddenly does not. I cannot figure out how to re-activate this feature. And I do mean for specific apps that I wanted to wake the screen up -messages, emails, etc., not the apps that are low priority.

It used to turn the screen on, right? I'm not crazy?

Go to Settings, Notifications and check them out, since updates can change things. Then clear the cache partition and reboot.

Thanks. It didn't make a difference. Only Snapchat wakes up the screen... Not emails, not text messages, etc. And the LEDs stopped working, except for Snapchat.

Pie also messed up the Samsung messenger app so I switched to another app.

Am I the only one who really, really doesn't like this update?
