I have a Samsung Fascinate (2.1 rooted). Is there a setting (or App) to make the incoming e-mail or IM notification continue to sound every few minutes until I pick up the phone and open the e-mail or IM? Right now the notification for an e-mail or IM goes off once and only once. My phone is on my desk all day at work and unless I'm sitting there when an e-mail or IM arrives, I have to pick up the phone to see the status. Thanks in advance

One thing you can try is an app called NoLED. It flashes a notification on your screen, and will show separate notification for a missed call, e-mail, text, etc.

Also check out Handcent for text message notifications.

Something that struck me like lightning the other day! I was helping a lady who wanted persistent notification reminders for that stuff, and the developer of NoLED in the last couple months added reminder beeps and vibrates! It's officially the best nag/reminder app I know of now :)

sheepy do you work for vzw?

Not vzw per se, but I sell their phones. I actually get to offer good prices and killer customer service where I work.

cool. do you tell your customers to root thier phones?

No. Sadly I don't want them coming to me for help on it. I love helping my customers, but when I spend an hour explaining something complicated I generally lose at least one sale, and a guy's gotta eat ya know? If they wanna root they should come here and read, read, read. Like I did. I'd read for about 6 hours before I finally posted, and then read for about 6 more hours.
