Notification sounds and ringtones

When my Note 8 is connected to my car Bluetooth and I receive a call, the ringtone sounds from the phone and through car speakers. This also happens with timer app notifications when connected to my Bluetooth headset. Is it possible to have ringtones and notifications to only sound over Bluetooth when connected?

Yhast's determined by the Bluetooth profiles in the phone. Evidently the Note 8 profiles (phone and, possibly, media) play through both - so no.
