Notification Sounds Issue - Sound playing when set to "none"

I'm having an issue with having getting my notifications to appear in the pop-down preview but also not have an associated sound. I've gone into the notification settings for multiple apps (Messages, Instagram, FB Messenger, etc) and set "Behavior" to "Make sound and pop on screen" and then set "Sound" to "none". But even with that set, the phone will still make the default app notification sound when a new notifications comes in.

I can stop the sound by switching "behavior" to "show silently" but then I don't get the pop-down on screen.

I'm honestly not sure if this is a OP7 issue, or a general Android one, but I'm first experiencing it a few days after receiving my OP7 so figured I'd start here.

I'm probably missing something stupid and obvious. Anyone else having this same issue?

Long press that app >info>tap notifications > find your notifications >tap sound and pop up gives other options

This is exactly what I did. See attached screenshot. As I took that screenshot, incoming FB messenger messages were beeping in my ear (bluetooth headphones on).

Yeah that's strange , have you tried a reboot see maybe a glitch?

Yeah, a few times. Still happens. Very frustrating, honestly. Again, not sure this is an OP7 problem, but I never ran into this on previous devices.

I understand, maybe contact one plus see what they say , as no one else has chimed in here.
