Notification Tones

Hello all! I am currently using handscent as my messaging application. I have set a certain tone for text messages through it. I also have a separate tone for my email notifications. I am beginning to receive notifications from facebook in texting format but it is using the texting tone set for texts in handscent.

I picked a tone that I want through the settings on the FB app but it reverts back to the handscent tone for texts. Am I missing something? Leaving something unchecked?

I can't seem to figure it out!

Facebook sends from over 10 different numbers for texting your phone.

handcent will allow you to set different tones for every contact. You have to be looking at the text to set the tone though. Open the text and then touch the settings icon in the upper right of the screen. That will allow you to customize everything for that contact. Make sure you have the number (or numbers) saved in your contacts obviously. I don't think setting the tone in the fb app will change anything in handcent.

The settings in the FB app is for push notifications through the FB app, so it has nothing to do with the notification tones you'd get from your text messaging app.

It's probably better to just get FB's push notifications to work, and turn off FB text messaging.
