Notification Vibration

Re: Haptic feedback and notification vibration

Well you know how marketing guys are... they read the spec on the hardware and it says 10% stronger vibration over last years... that parts true. They just don't know that repositioning it off axis reduces overall feeling of vibration 10% over last years phone lol.
The vibration motor just needs a wheel alignment should correct it

I'm not suggesting it's not an issue of concern, but I've never given haptics or the vibration motor a thought untill this thread except for when vibrations drive my phone off my desk.
I probably wont give it much thought after I get the S22 either unless the power of suggestion has an affect on me.

Re: Haptic feedback and notification vibration

Hi everyone,

Just received my S22 ultra and enjoying it for the most part but I remember some people talking about a lesser known advantage was the haptic feedback and notification vibration was supposed to be a lot better

From my experience it is the same at best anyone else notice this, was this improvement to this feature abandoned or am I just not seeing it on the settings?

I have everything at full vibration and I gotta no difference at all

Apparently the new motors are crisp but very mild, like you said many users have been having similar issues. It isn't spoken much because most people don't depend on vibrating profile(based on some reddit threads). For me personally,I would require strong haptics in my workplace. I would suggest you to wait for more reviews and decide on returning the product.

Also https://youtu.be/If16qIGOJTo this video is in korean but has eng subtitles, check around 16:43 mark,he talks about weak vibrations.

Re: Haptic feedback and notification vibration

Well I'm seeing more and more mention of the new haptic motor in reviews. Marques Brownlee had mentioned it in his S22+ and now S22 Ultra reviews.

If you want to see what was said...

Re: Haptic feedback and notification vibration

As someone mentioned the haptics while weaker because of their x axis positioning are in fact improved because they are tighter, more precise, and better mimicking the tactile feeling similar to what Apple has done for a long time and most recently with the pixel lines.

If you like an earthquake in your pocket however the haptics here may not be for you. They're going for refined precision this year which imo is an improvement.

Re: Haptic feedback and notification vibration

The haptic feedback feels good to me, I turned it up slightly from default and I like to just press the home button to feel it lol. I just wish all screen touches provided haptic feedback and not just the home button and a few other things. Either way, no complaints about the actual performance.

Haptic feedback and touch sounds are among the first things I turn off. Since I keep my phone on vibrate, I depend on my Watch for notifications. A jolt to the wrist never fails to get my attention. I can see how soft vibrations could be a problem for yall who keep your phone in your pocket, though.

Re: Haptic feedback and notification vibration

My S22 has much better haptics than my S21. It's actually the best haptics of any android phone I've ever had. I would say its as good as any late model iphone and that's high praise as I have always thought Crapple had the best haptics until now.

Re: Haptic feedback and notification vibration

I agree that the haptics are good I should have just named the tittle notification vibration that's really the issue I have it's that I often don't feel my message notification while in my pocket

Want me change the title?

I've missed a lot of notifications due to not being able to feel the vibrations in my pocket.... This really sucks as someone who depends on that for the better part of my day.
