Hello,
Here is my problem. My notification volume will go to the minimum setting all by itself. I can go into the volume controls and move it back up but it will go right back to the minimum volume. I can restart the phone and it will stay up at normal levels but will soon go back to the minimum level. My phone is a sprint note 5 running Marshmallow 6.0.1 (n920pvpu2bpd2). Any help would be appreciated.

Can anyone help with this problem?

I had the same issue with my S6. It stopped when I quit using the do not disturb mode at night. Just a thought...

Is the volume key unknowingly being pressed in a bag or pocket?

The only volume that is affected is the notification volume. It will randomly go all of the way to minimum. As soon as I try to set it to maximum, it will go right back to minimum right before my eyes. I do not use the do not disturb at all as I need to get calls and notifications at all hours of the day. I have tried everything short of doing a full factory reset.

I may have run into this problem with an older Note and TouchWiz version. Think it was triggered by putting the phone on silent with vibrate, and after going back to sound enabled, the notification sound problem would appear. It's been a long time, though, so I may be mixing this one up with another issue.
