Notification volume turns off by itself for all apps

Hi, I have a Samsung S10, Android 11 - UI 3.1 - Since about 1 month after one of the updates, something has changed with the volume up/down button which now shows 3 dots at the top and brings you the volume options. Since this change, I realize that the notifications volume regularly turns off. I have to then go into this menu and turn the volume for notifications on again (4th line with ''bell'' icon). This is driving me nuts. Can anyone help me understand why this is happening ? Thanks :)
 
@mustang7757 I can't get into recovery mode anymore. I push on on/off, volume up, bixby buttons and it just restarts the phone. I read on another thread that this is a new bug on Samsung Galaxy phones on Android 11... A workaround would be plugging in usb-c earphones and then pushing the 3 buttons... but I don't have any! So, while trying to solve the notifications volume issue, I've found another bug...

Oh wow, try this turn phone off>then before it turns on hold power/volume up/bixby same time , if that don't work connect to computer and repeat those steps
 
@mustang7757 Thanks - it worked now, but only once I connected it to my computer... So, I've now cleared cache and will see if the notifications volume problem persists or not... Thanks!
 
@mustang7757 Hi. I'm not sure I even want to put this in writing for fear of jinxing it... but it's been 2 days and the problem seems to have disappeared after having cleared cache in recovery... :)
 
Yes. It happened again. 5 days since the last time. Phone was on charge - can't for the life of me understand why this is happening.
 
@mustang7757 Hi. I found the bug!!! If you are in DND mode and take a video, when you turn off DND, the volume for all notifications DOES NOT TURN ON AGAIN and remains off !! The bug is directly triggered by taking videos in DND, doesn't happen any other way it seems.

Oh wow , yeah sounds like a bug :(
Probably have to see if next update gets fix . I would report this to Samsung .
