Notification

Just got the s10e. I want to change the text message notification to something I have downloaded but don't know how. I was able to with the ring tone but not text messages. Please let me know how to do this. Thank you

Try long press the message app then tap info >notifications and look for sounds and see if your sound you want is there.

Use a file manager app to make sure the custom sound file is in the /Notifications directory.

I'm not sure what that means. The sound I want is in my download files and ring tones but I can't seem to get it to my notifications.

Go to the folder where the notification tone is, long press on it and select move. Navigate to the Notifications folder on internal storage and select paste. You should be able to find it then.

That's what I'm having issues with. I long press and have tried copy and move both... But when I go to notifications the the button goes away. I have to be doing something wrong. Ugh

Do you mean that you solved it? Were you able to find the /Notifications directory using My Files or some other file manager and make sure your custom notification tone file was moved to that directory?

Yes I got it to work. I couldn't find the notification folder so I did a search and found it... Then I was able to move that tone into that folder.
