notifications issue with apps inside Secure folder

My Facebook and Facebook Messenger apps are in my secure folder. No notification in my notification bar or chat heads popping up when I have a new msg... I double checked my settings w both apps and all notifications and chat heads are on. I actually have to open the apps to check for any new msg... very annoying...
Anyone having same issue? Any advice? Tks!
