Notifications not making sound

Looking for suggestions... When I get text messages or an alert from Nest app my 4XL will vibrate but not alert with sound like I have the phone on vibrate but it is not. And what is weird is that it seems to happen when I am at home but when I am away it seems to work correctly and play a notification sound. I have rebooted the phone several times and am hopping if I ever get the Nov update that maybe that will help.

Any suggestions?

Go to Settings -> Sound -> Do Not Disturb; while there, check any schedules that may have been configured as well as the general settings.

I did have the sleeping weekend, sleeping week, and pixel stand checked.. I unchecked everything but the pixel stand. See what happens!!

Also if you have enabled flip to shh and place the phone face down it will enable do not disturb mode
