Notifications not popping up

Hi

New owner of the s10 in prism green lovely phone just moved from a Google pixel 2 this is a miles better phone but my only dislike at the moment is emails and other notifications take a while to come through for example my pixel 2 was sat next to me as I was transferring photos from one to the other my ring door bell detected motion and pushed a notification to my pixel 2 straight away on the s10 nothing came up when I opened the ring app it showed 1 new event

I sent a test email from gmail on the pixel too my s10 and nothing popped up as notification but did straight away on the pixel I opened gmail on my s10 and the unread email was there

Great phone up to now but thinking of returning for something else if I can't fix the issue

It doesn't sound like a major issue, it just sounds like notifications haven't been set or setup properly.

Welcome to Android Central! I think Samsung phones tend to do more meddling with background activities than Pixels in order to preserve battery. Try turning off Battery Optimization for those apps and see if that fixes the problem.
