Notifications through Google app

I tend to rely on the Google app providing a notification that a bill is due in a certain number of days, but lately it seems to be very inconsistent. Sometimes I will get the notifications and other times I don't. The only thing that IS consistent is the notification I get about traffic in my area and weather conditions.

I haven't changed any settings in the Google app and I believe it's setup correctly. I know that there's frequent updates to the Google app, and am wondering if the updates are doing something to the notifications other than weather and traffic.

I'd like for the notifications to be consistent each month.

Not really an answer to your question, but why not use Google Calendar? I use it for all my bill reminders, etc., and have never had a problem getting notices.

Quoting to say I agree. I've done it this way for years.
