Is there a way to delete one notification at a time. I see the clear button. But sometimes just want to delete one notification.

No. I haven't gotten notice for ICS to update.
That is how it works on my tablet with ICS. Is there a way of not running ICS?

Thanks, that's where I check, but so far tells me my current software is up todate..

I don't know why you didn't get the update notice. You can still hook your phone into Kies and get it manually — which is basically what you have to do after the notice, anyway.
